The following is a general outline of employee benefits. Some benefits may vary according to employment status. Contact the Human Resources Office for more information.We provide an outstanding package of health and life benefits for employees, with coverage available for their families. We offer medical, dental and vision coverage, as well as basic and supplemental life, long term disability, and flexible spending accounts.

Once you have completed your probationary period, you are eligible to participate in the Plan.

Flexible Spending Accounts
This benefit allows you to set aside pre-tax dollars, reducing your taxable income, for non-reimbursable medical or dependent care expenses.
Accident Insurance
Accidental death and dismemberment insurance by payroll deductions.
Cancer Insurance
Offered through by payroll deductions.
Life Insurance Basic
Ing. - Cash payment to surviving spouse, children or to employee in the event of death. $100,000 for employee, $50,000 spouse, $10,000 dependents.
Life Insurance - Supplemental
Ing. - Additional life insurance by payroll deduction.
Long Term Disability (LTD)
Income provided during extended period of illness or injury.
Short Term Disability (STD)
Disability income provided for illness or injury. Two plans available:

Defined Benefit Plan

For eligible faculty and salaried employees, relocation and travel allowance for incoming employees.
Military/Reserve
Time off for military service.
Jury Duty
Up to 10 days (per calendar year) if called to serve.
Sick Leave
For eligible salaried employees 2 weeks per year.
For eligible hourly employees have an accrual of .038462 per hour worked.
Social Security
Deductions are paid into the United States Social Security Administration. (Ministers excluded).
Workers Compensation
Medical benefits and income provided during work related illness or injury.
Tuition Benefit Provisions
Eligibility
- Full-time faculty employees are eligible for no more than 6 units per term (quarter or summer session), no more than 2 classes per term, and no more than a maximum of 16 per year. Employees are also eligible to receive a 50% reduction for additional units.
- Prior verification from the dean of the school in which a full-time faculty appointment is held is required.
- Eligibility for this benefit is not cumulative or retroactive and applies only to the scholastic period being applied for.
- A signed and completed form does not guarantee the ability to register for the class.
Specifications
- This benefit applies to course work taken at Âé¶¹²ú¾«¹úÆ·.
- Distance Learning courses, private lessons, laboratory courses, extension courses and other activity and studio courses are excluded. Charges for materials and field trips are paid by the enrollee.
- The applicant must qualify scholastically for the work to be taken in any school and in any course in which admission is requested.
- Admittance to a "limited enrollment" course is possible only if there is room after all regular tuition paying students have been accommodated.
- If the number of regular tuition paying students does not justify offering a course, it will not be offered for the convenience of additional enrollees who are entitled to this tuition benefit. Also, the free tuition benefit may not be applicable if a low student/faculty ration exists in a particular course, and never if the student/faculty ration is 1:1.
- If a class conflicts with an employee's work schedule, supervisory/chairman approval must be obtained and indicated.
Registration Classifications
- Regular: A regular student is one who has satisfied all prerequisites and is registered for a standard curriculum leading to a degree or certificate. The regular student is subject to strict application of academic standards and policies.
- Non-degree: A non-degree student is one who enrolls for selected courses for personal or professional purposes without application toward a degree. Consent for enrollment as a non-degree student is granted by the department with the endorsement of the school teaching the course.
- Audit: Certain courses may be audited. Consent for enrollment as an auditor is granted by the department with the endorsement of the school teaching the course. An audit may not be converted to credit after the 14th day of the term
